Muslim girls can get ready for a date with Halal cosmetics

Apr 28, 2010 | In Arab News and Politics In Arab Dating Advice | No Comments

Whether they choose to wear a veil or not, Muslim women tend to be fastidious about caring for their skin. Some use age-old home recipes to keep their faces and bodies soft and moisturized, while others turn to more secular products.

It's estimated that 70 percent of all Muslims live by the code of Halal, but the area of women's cosmetics and toiletries has long-been overlooked.

However, not all cosmetics are created equal! Layla Mandi is a Muslim-Canadian who has created her own line of Halal skincare products that are designed to offer Muslim girls all of the products they crave.

The items in the line, OnePure skincare and cosmetics, contain no pork products or alcohol, both of which are common in standard makeup but is haraam for those who follow the code of Halal.

Muslim girls rejoice! The next time you're getting ready for a date, you'll have no qualms or misgivings about applying the cosmetics that you love.

Of course, just because new Halal products are becoming more widely available doesn't mean that Arab women should give up on the traditional beauty regimens that have served them so well for so thousands of years!
